Aurelia is a highly experienced, registered Educational Psychologist offering comprehensive cognitive, educational, and psychological assessments to identify an individual’s learning profile including strengths and challenges. Her work is grounded in the belief that accurate, thoughtful assessment is essential for ensuring individuals receive appropriate support, fair access to assessment conditions, and opportunities to reach their potential.

Aurelia trained as an Educational Psychologist at the University of Otago and has more than 25 years of professional experience working with children, young people, families, teachers, and organisations across diverse cultural and educational contexts in New Zealand and Brunei Darussalam.

In Malay, “jiwa” refers to the soul – the inner life, the essence of who we are.

This philosophy shapes everything Aurelia does. Her assessments look beyond scores and labels to understand the whole person – their strengths, challenges, experiences, culture and potential – so that support is meaningful, respectful and practical in real life.

Understanding how individuals learn is the foundation of effective support.

Aurelia is a registered Educational Psychologist with more than 25 years’ experience providing cognitive, educational, and psychological assessments for children, young persons, and adults. She specialises in understanding learning profiles and providing insight into individual strengths and challenges. This includes identifying specific learning disabilities (such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia) as well as gifted and twice exceptional (2e) individuals who are both gifted and have learning, developmental, or neurodevelopmental challenges.

Assessment reports integrate detailed data with clear, practical recommendations to support meaningful outcomes in school, examinations and future pathways.

Through careful assessment, clear explanation, and practical recommendations, Aurelia sets out to reduce barriers to learning and ensure effective support to help individuals thrive, advocate for equity, and empower families to make informed decisions that support long-term wellbeing and achievement.  She also has extensive experience in evaluating eligibility for access arrangements / Special Assessment Conditions such as Reader, Writer and Extra Time for NCEA (National Certificate of Educational Achievement), CIE (Cambridge International Education) and IB (International Baccalaureate) examinations.
